beyond naughty or nice...

We have read "The Grinch who stole Christmas" every day this week. When my 5yo asks for story-time, and I send her off to select some books, I just know that the Grinch is going to be top of the pile. Lucky for me, I quite enjoy the story too. We have read this tale so many times, that we are now picking up on even the most minor of details. My 7yo contests the title . "Why do they call it the grinch who stole christmas?" He pauses, furrowed brow. "....because he couldn't actually steal Christmas." ....Which is exactly the part of the story I like the most.   And the Grinch, with his grinch-feet ice-cold in the snow,  Stood puzzling and puzzling......  "Maybe Christmas," he thought, doesn't come from a store.  "Maybe Christmas... perhaps... means a little bit more!" So I ask my son what he thinks the book should be called instead? "Hmmm. Maybe the Grinch who tried to steal Chris
